Bra Care
Taking care of your bra. It's very important that you take great care of your bra – it works very hard all day long so needs plenty of TLC.
All the components of your bra are chosen to ensure they give you maximum support, fit and comfort for as long as possible, and to do this you need to look after them.
Washing your bra
It is very important that your bra is only hand-washed and never machine-washed.
All the components of a bra are made for hand washing, from the delicate fabrics to the hooks and underwires.
If a bra is machine-washed, it can cause the wire to come free of the casing and damage your machine and other garments.
The hooks can catch the embroidery and damage it and padded cups can become misshapen.
It is also very important that your bra is never tumble-dried.
Handwashing your bra
Ensure you hand-wash your bra, using a detergent specifically for delicates and hand washing.
The water should be no hotter than 40° centigrade, and your bra should be left to drip-dry.
Do not wring your bra, as this can misshape the wires and any padded cups.
